Warren County NJ

Like anywhere else, there are good and bad points to living in Warren County, NJ. Probably the most standout feature of this area is that it is part of the "NJ Skylands" – a beautiful, scenic, mountainous area attracting hunters, hikers and outdoors enthusiasts of all types. The Delaware Water Gap is just a short drive down Route 80 heading west. There is much preserved farmland here, making it a pleasant place to take a drive down a quiet country road, stop and watch the cows grazing, go horseback riding, or fish in one of our many rivers and streams. Those with NYC jobs can still bear the commute - grueling at times, but it can be done in less than 2 hours or so I've heard.

People here, on the whole, seem very nice. There is a lack of snobbery that seems to be the way for other parts of this state. It may be that there are less people here who originally came from New York. There is plenty of town pride, school spirit, honest businessmen, and all the things that make a "nice" town. We have the Phillipsburg Mall (closing soon?), The Land of Make Believe, and plenty of antique shops and farmstands.

One fact to note is that, compared to other parts of NJ, Warren County is somewhat lacking in ethnic diversity. If you're interested in stats, check the Wikipedia page for Warren County, NJ.
